What makes you think that COVID is ever going away? We will be contending with COVID forever and ever. The question is whether we will allow our fear to overwhelm our humanity. Right now we are “othering” people and this smacks of a move toward authoritarianism. If you are vaccinated you won’t get seriously ill with COVID and that is the best we are ever going to have going forward. The vaccine wasn’t created to “Cure” COVID and vanquish the virus. The vaccine was created to stop it from entering your lungs and killing you.

When a politician in Australia tells people to not speak to their neighbors and nobody in the media questions this statement we are in trouble.
