Trump and the republicans had a policy and the democrats swore to stop trump and they did.

This hatred between liberals and conservatives is something new and growing. Just read how many articles in Medium suggest that Republicans and conservatives are evil bastards who should be burned at the stake. Ironically this article might be evidence of this divide. During Trumps 4 years the filibuster was used 314 times. Compare that to the Republicans using filibuster 175 times during Obamas 8 years.
You wonder why there is a divide? My opinion has always been that the elites encourage this divide and love this divide. It keeps us from meaningful reform.

The rancor and unwillingness to work together for the good of the country is on both sides of the aisle. It’s a shame and we all suffer because of it.
