This is not exactly the whole story and the whole story paints a slightly different picture. Originally they said they would refund monies if the donor so requested but the time frame was very very short. After that they would donate the money to charities. After facing potential investigations for fraud they said they would refund all the monies.

What I find odd is that during all the unrest last year they did not turn down fundraising related to that unrest. I guess it’s the “noise” allegations that outraged GoFundMe. After all what is a little bit of arson and violence compared to the sound of horns. Oh the horror of it all!
