I like the spirit of this article. But America is by no means a “failed state.” I’m Haitian-American, so I have a completely different take on what those two words mean. Haiti is a failed state. Try living there poor, and write an article about your experience. Also, Trump isn’t to blame for this; it was a bipartisan effort that really was allowed to flourish due to the failed neoliberal policies that the Democratic Party has been obsessed with practicing for the past couple of decades or more.
I like the spirit of this article.
