Since this was not a criminal proceeding nor were you informing the school the question of “evidence” is kind of moot. However I strongly disagree with the comment that “discomfort” is enough evidence in most cases where the consequences are greater then a possibly difficult conversation.

Further I would be interested in knowing if anyone else responds like this young man in future interactions of a similar nature. His reaction may have nothing to do with you being a woman and may solely due to our world today being different then even a few years ago. The public is now more aware of the cases in the news of young men supposedly being denied due process in these “she said he said” kinds of cases. He may just be more afraid then he would have been if this happened earlier when you presented as a man
