If today we owe “reparations” for slavery then yes we are being judged otherwise why would the people of today owe reparations. Also exactly to whom? The descendants of slaves or can the recent immigrant from Africa share in those reparations

That being said we do every citizen the same opportunity to get the skills they need to excel in whatever they want. That means we need to provide greater support for those groups who are struggling for whatever reason. It also means that we need to look carefully at what the educational elites are suggesting ways to solve the problem. Doing away with grades only helps one group - the educational elites who have failed and find it convenient to cover up those failures. Unless you want to suggest that the color of your skin dictates whether you can learn math or reading and writing.
