Help me understand why assuming the barista is white isn't just a reflection of the fact that 75% of the country is white while I believe that 13% of the population is black. IYes, it would be great if we didn't allow our minds to just make that assumption but human beings naturally look for patterns and make some assumptions based on what they see around them. It is not necessarily a racist thing.

However the 10 examples of things that have been said to you in the past are pretty horrible. But I have to ask, did the person who made the comment on touching (#3) actually say it made her uncomfortable to chat with you because she couldn't touch your hair. Maybe she is just crazy because most people don't touch your hair when they talk with you.
