God it is disturbing that anyone could tell their white kid to basically stand down to wait and see what happens before acting. I would have been so angry if it was my kid and he didn’t say anything. To me it’s about doing the right thing and not about anti-racism or anything. Would people give different advice to their kids if the black was being called a “nerd” because he was smarter or like science.
