Actually I don't know what you mean. One can be attacked for something, even if that something is not true and it would be valid to feel attacked even if you are not that something. It is increasingly difficult to discuss race in any context at all without being worried about offending someone. So yes I may look uneasy if the topic of race comes up particularly if I am speaking to someone who is not white. Doesn't mean I am a racist just means I am slightly uneasy and will watch my words carefully.
